When should I fertilize my peonies, and how should I go about doing so?
I would suggest using a finder fertilizer in the early spring and fall. A typical fertilizer with a lower nitrogen ratio, like 5-10-5 or 10-10-10, should work great!
Remember that if your soil is already fertile, peonies only need to be fertilized every 2-3 years or less.
This plant is very easy to fertilize and this peony is typical of those who do not need to fertilize very often, only once every 2 years.
You can do it in early spring.
My neighbor also has this plant and he always gives it to me in the fall.
